So Coldplay was yesterday and it was AMAZING. Great atmosphere and just a perfect concert. One moment I'm sure that I'll never ever forget, was the beginning of the concert.
At the entry we were all given bracelets but didn't really know what they were for. Then, after the intro this happened (found the video online, as I already said, I never really make any videos or fotos - from 0:53):
Wow, that looks incredible.

Ah, don't be. I'm from Liverpool, it's supposed to be a give in for me, and I just think they're ok lol.
I did meet Paul McCartney once though. My one Beatle encounter, and it was at an event that had nothing to do with music lol.

You don't like chocolate and you think The Beatles are just ok? Humm.
I don't know if I can be friends with you anymore.
LOL Just joking.
Dina, that looks amazing!

Yeah sorry about that mate! I'm just desensitized to them lol. Beatles stuff was literally everywhere growing up.
Strawberry Fields is like a 5 minute walk from my mum's house where I grew up (don't get excited now, it's just a red gate lol). Her house is on the road off the one John Lennon's aunts house is, and Lennon & McCartney met on my primary school playing field. I basically grew up on the tour bus route, and have heard all the songs like a billion times, I just can't get enthusiastic about it. That said there are a few songs I like, and would sing along to.
I guess I'm proud that my hometown produced such a successful band though.

I'm with you on the Beatles stuff. I've never really been into them either.

I am ashamed to say that my sister bought Cher Lloyd's album the other day and now I'm a little bit obsessed with Dub On The Track. *hides in shame*

I don't dislike them... I just would never think, 'Hm, I could really do with listening to The Beatles right now.'
I'm sorry! Lol.

Yeah, I have replayed it a billion times too. That entire KEXP session is amazing. So beautiful. And Florence is so powerful, I love how she seems to be complety taken by the song.
Cosmic Love is probably my favorite song by Florence + The Machine.
Did you guys like the second album? Not as powerful as Lungs, but it's very good. The first five tracks are amazing.

This is a sad day for the Portuguese speaking world. Singer Cesaria Evora has passed way. She was from Cabo Verde (a small island in Africa). She had a lovely voice and was known for often performing without shoes. Huge fan.

I read about that on the newspaper yesterday. "La diva descalza".

A classic. Just because summertime has just started here.. and it reminds me the beach, the sand and the heat. My favorite version. Happy summer to everyone on this hemisphere.

I love Nina Simone and Led Zeppelin too guys!
I've been listening to The Black Keys and Jack White stations on Pandora a lot lately. They play so much awesome blues rock, roots rock, and classic rock. But right now I'm listening the Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra station. A cover of "Tempted" by Squeeze is playing. Haha.
But I listen to all kinds of music. Here's some songs I've DL'ed and been listening to a lot over the past week or so:
"Shake Your Body (Down To the Ground)"- Michael Jackson "Mary Jane's Last Dance"- Tom Petty "Momma's Boy"- Elizabeth & the Catapult "Devil's Right Hand"- Johnny Cash "Pencil Full of Lead"- Paulo Nutini "Jump Right Up"- Downchild "(Sitting' On) The Dock Of the Bay"- Sara Bareilles "Jungle Drum" Emiliana Torrino "Hey Hey What Can I Do"- Led Zeppelin "The Pendulum"- The Ettes "Kiss the Sky"- Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra "Cattle Drive"- Smokey Bandits "The Hop"- Radio Citizen feat Bajka "You Know What I Mean"- Cults "Get Up, Get Off"- Prodigy feat. Twista "Bottoms Up"- Trey Songz feat. Nicki Minaj "Movin' On Up"- Primal Scream "Release"- She Keeps Bees "Heart Attack"- Raphael Saadiq

I've been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin lately. That talk we had here about them totally made my love for them come out of the shadows again. It was buried down in my heart, probably because I overplayed their albuns so much some years ago I overdosed. Does that happen to you guys? There are some artists/band I get obssessed about and I listen to them so much it gets to a point when I just can't listen to them again.
Mardou, I know you love Bossa Nova, but I think João Gilberto is sooo boring. He is a pain in the ass, actually.
