I've been listening to The Black Keys and Jack White stations on Pandora a lot lately. They play so much awesome blues rock, roots rock, and classic rock. But right now I'm listening the Jools Holland & His Rhythm & Blues Orchestra station. A cover of "Tempted" by Squeeze is playing. Haha.

But I listen to all kinds of music. Here's some songs I've DL'ed and been listening to a lot over the past week or so:

"Shake Your Body (Down To the Ground)"- Michael Jackson
"Mary Jane's Last Dance"- Tom Petty
"Momma's Boy"- Elizabeth & the Catapult
"Devil's Right Hand"- Johnny Cash
"Pencil Full of Lead"- Paulo Nutini
"Jump Right Up"- Downchild
"(Sitting' On) The Dock Of the Bay"- Sara Bareilles
"Jungle Drum" Emiliana Torrino
"Hey Hey What Can I Do"- Led Zeppelin
"The Pendulum"- The Ettes
"Kiss the Sky"- Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra
"Cattle Drive"- Smokey Bandits
"The Hop"- Radio Citizen feat Bajka
"You Know What I Mean"- Cults
"Get Up, Get Off"- Prodigy feat. Twista
"Bottoms Up"- Trey Songz feat. Nicki Minaj
"Movin' On Up"- Primal Scream
"Release"- She Keeps Bees
"Heart Attack"- Raphael Saadiq

I heard The Black Keys recently. I was really impressed. I should Jango that shit today actually.

My sister just threw a chip at me because I'm ignoring her... How rude!

I love Jools Holland, his show is great too. I remember the first time I heard Someone Like You, it was on Jools, my family listened to it about 30 times in a row.

All. The. Time! Laughing

I obsess over music, and have it on repeat until I'm so sick of it that I can't take it anymore. Then after a few years, I'll be like "hm... haven't listened to that in ages", I'll put it on, fall in love again, then it's the same thing all over again.

Mardou, I know you love Bossa Nova, but I think João Gilberto is sooo boring. He is a pain in the ass, actually.

I think the "touch" in that record is given by Stan Getz. It's bossa and jazz together, like dancing.. lol. I like Gilberto, but Jobim is my man. Gilberto is...slow and calm, but I do understand why you think is boring. I don't. Laughing

I've been listening to a lot of Led Zeppelin lately. That talk we had here about them totally made my love for them come out of the shadows again. It was buried down in my heart, probably because I overplayed their albuns so much some years ago I overdosed. Does that happen to you guys? There are some artists/band I get obssessed about and I listen to them so much it gets to a point when I just can't listen to them again.

That happened to me with Led Zeppelin too. I buy a lot of cds, I put thousands of songs in my iPod, I sang the songs, My friends played the songs, We went to see tribute bands, we watched dvds... Then I stopped because I was totally overdosed. I started to listen to my favourites cds a few months ago (III, I, Houses of the Holy) and I remembered why I used to love that band so much.. and it gives me nice memories too. I know what you mean Wink

You have no idea how many times I've watched How The West Was Won, that DVD. But for some reason it is still at my dad's home. So I'm planning on rescuing it this Christmas and bringing it with me.

^Haha, I put that one on, and went to another page, and halfway through I was like "Are they not going to sing?" Then I figured maybe it was actually the movie itself that was amazing? Lol! I'm sure it is though, but don't think I can sit through that melody once again tongue

Shamelessly plugging my friends here:

I love this song! It's great!
It's a live recording though, so there is a few mistakes here and there, but Very Happy

The video is awesome, but I was really talking about the song! It's amazing. It's sort of a modern tango. I love it. ROFL

That song was very popular here because it was the opening theme from a soap opera. It was so overplayed, but I really like it.

Alice, you inspired a walk down memory lane. And I finally found some songs from the group Broken Home. A few years ago I googled and googled, but all I came up with was the song Broken Home, by Papa Roach.

But now they have finally found their way on youtube Very Happy

They're an old band, from the early 80's. Don't know how popular they were, but I grew up with this, so it is an automatic like thumbs up
