Yeah, the other one was perfectly standard. But pink ruffles? Ridiculous!

Pink ruffles are the things of nightmares.

carnival started today
The small parade to the townhall was blocking the busses for a few minutes and I was like:
"MOOOVE!!! THERE IS A SIDEWALK!!! USE IT!!!! DON'T BLOCK THE FRIGGIN STREET, WHEN I WANT TO GET HOME!!"


Today is called: Women's Carnival Day
The women cut the ties of man as a symbol of "depriving" them of their power.
They also storm the townhall (that's why they were parading there) to also symbolically take over the power there.

My personal trainer apparently sleepwalked last night and her phone rang the next morning she woke up next to her bed and not actually in it....haha she was like "what the? why I am standing next to my bed and not sleeping in it". Made my day

About ready to pass out, just had a meeting regarding some important events happening this year. Then took a ride with Mum to the city to pick up my Dad from work, I'm absolutely stuffed lol

Carnival here too! There's a park right next to my house full of kids screaming like they're all being murdered.
And I slept 12 hours and had a bunch of werid dreams too. Still think we should start a dream thread!

Grr I hate it:
After our gig tomorrow we'll go to the disco for our last pre-ABI-party.
Well not right after it, because we play from 8pm-8.45pm ... anyways

The problem is: it's already thursday afternoon and I still don't know where to go for the pre-drinking.
And I hate being spontaneous - one of my friends said that they didn't know yet either but as soon as they knew, she'd let me know, so that I could maybe go with them... but (as much as I love these girls) it's not really my scene.
The party-girls that go out every weekend and drink champagne and get all giggly - scene.

So where I would want to go, the problem is, that I wouldn't fit in the car if they chose to drive to the disco.
And, sure, theoretically I could drive myself, but I just can't listen to that horrible music and be surrounded by some truly weird people all night, totally sober. No... just no.
Grrr - first world problems, I know but this really bothers me right now

Spontaneity is great, you're sitting there and you're like, "Fuck it, I want to do ________" so you get up and go do it.

How many hours til it's 9pm EST?

my question is.. they drink champagne?? really? during the pre driking party they drink champagne? lol.
I know what you mean though, I like being spontaneous but sometimes, I need some plans. Specially at night because "I don't drive"... what about a taxi?? you drink your ass off with this champagne girls and then you take a cab, you can ask at least one of them to take the cab with you so you don't arrive to club by yourself. Or maybe someone can pick you up and give you a ride?

I'm pretty sure the girls would head there via bus.
I just know that I'd feel out of place. An no amount of alcohol can make up for that.

I guess in the end, I'll either make up plan C: ask a friend who lives in the neighbourhood if we'll go together, or I'll just drive to the pre-drinking that I want to go to, myself.
If worst comes to worst and it sucks really bad sober, I can always leave the car, get drunk and call a cab home and then pick it up the next day.

Edit: Yes, champagne because it "kicks faster than beer before you switch to the 'hard stuff'"
Also: they really like champagne... Don't ask me...just don't

I normally just drive everywhere and don't drink. That way, if I get fed up or feel out of place I can just leave whenever I want.

Really!? You don't strike me as the spontaneous type, Han.

I like to just decide to do things last minute too. Makes life interesting.

The "leaving whenever you want" definitely speaks for the self-driving... but I don't know. If I find a way around it, I'd rather not.

This actually makes me a bit sad, that I sort of came apart with my best girlfriend.
We used to gather at her's with some people and then I'd sleep over at her place.
That she isn't even one of the options I'm weighing at the moment is just like:

lol now I understand... but still champagne leaves a massive hangover, and if it's not cold it's disgusting but yeah, it's stronger than beer for sure. I just think it's funny they drink champagne in a pre-party. no offense dina!

None taken, I reacted the exact same way and was like "Really?!? Everybody tries to get drunk as fast and as cheap as possible and you driiink...champagne..?!?!"

And I always find my way back home by taxi or a friend that takes me with them - aaaah don't you just love the feeling of a 'problem' solved?!

I don't know, what do normal people drink?
I'll probably start with some mixed-beers and then I'll just see what the household has to offer and what I still have lying around here.
I do like me some blue curacao though - yum...
