Random thoughts VIII

this happened today

Today my hairdryer exploded in my hand - like literally a huge flame shooting out of it about 20cm away from my face.
And how was your day?

Oh my god, Dina! That could have ended badly. Scary!

Yes I was really lucky.
It made this *zzt - zzzzzzttztztzt* sound right before the flame came.

So I heard it, - naturally - held the dryer away a bit with a "WTF??!"-face to look at it. First there were some litte sparks and then the flame shot out of it. Like within half a second the thing was on fire.
So of course I threw it away from me. My shirt got a bit burned but that's it! I didn't even burn my hand!

Apparently the cable broke, right on the spot, where it goes over to the actual hairdryer.

my guardian-angels did a pretty good job today!

So tomorrow I have a class at 9 to 11am and then I'm free for the rest of the day. Sounds like a good Monday.

Ugh, my friend leaves for Alberta on Wednesday, I just want to cry, Like, we were talking on the phone about it and I started tearing up, it's going to be impossible to actually say goodbye on Tuesday.
