Listening to MGMT's Oracular Spectacular makes me wish for it to be summer, get in my car, roll my window down and drive through the streets...

Is there something wrong with the fact that I'm sat doing overtime listening to 'dance': Moby, Faithless, Chicane etc. mixed with showtunes? Lol.

If you like Mazzy Star, you should listen to Hope Sandoval & the Warm Inventions (same singer).

So, what I thought might be interesting is if we all recommend a band that's local to us. Like from or near to our city. My first suggestion is a band called Skindred. They're from my city. They describe their music as ragga, metal, punk. It's pretty interesting. I like Bruises, Pressure, Selector and The Fear.

That could be fun!
Well, I had to google who's from my city, I don't keep track at all I know two artists for sure, but they sing mostly in Norwegian, so would probably not be of interest to any of you at all.
Sooo, I'll go with The Low Frequency In Stereo. Apparently a post-rock group (whatever that means). I'm actually listening to them for the first time that I am aware of right now. Not bad
Really liking this song:
As for Skindred: Bruises was too much screaming for me, but Pressure, and also a song called Rat Race was cool!

Yeah. Some of their songs are really heavy. I like that sometimes, only of you can still understand the words. Lol. But they have a nice mix of influences.
The lead singer is really cool. When I worked at the cinema I used to let him in for free and he'd give me concert tickets which was awesome. One of their gigs that I went to the started it with an air siren and then kicked off with Bruises. It was brutal. My friend had a black eye before the song had even finished. I never really understood the whole mosh pit thing. Lol.
I'll give your suggestion a listen when I'm back home and have the wifi.

A friend of mine once had her nose broken during a concert. Someone hit her by accident during a mosh-pit - that must've sucked!
