Just booked a week long trip to Phoenix in October. Only cost me $36 after I used my Southwest gift card.

Can it be Sunday please? I really need my vacation to start.

I got to work and found out the only two cashiers we had both put in their notice today.

I want it to be the 25th already because all my overtime will be over by then. I know how you feel, Kel. I also kind of want it to be the 20th now because that's pay day and I don't have two pennies to rub together atm.

That's pretty cool. There are so many places in the US that I'd like to visit. I wouldn't know where to start.

You probably wouldn't want to spend a whole week in Phoenix, because there's really not that much to see there, but I'm going to visit my grandma who I haven't seen in five years. I'm going to rent a car and go out on my own a bit though.

I really want to go to Boston. Never been there, and I think I'd love it. I actually seriously considered moving to Boston several years ago, but I ended up moving to Denver instead. I think I will go to Boston in the near future though. Next Spring would be awesome time to go.

Just cleaned out my wallet for old receipts, and found a gift card that I had totally forgotten about that I got for christmas. Now I feel the urge to go shopping

There's loads of places in the US I would love to visit... just so many. Basically the entire west coast for a kick off.

Boston is lovely though. I like it there. It seems like a nice chilled place.

Anyways, I just got majorly pissed at my tv screen. Rant ahead, don't read unless you're bored. Sorry, I just have to vent this down.

So there's this guy, mr Alessandro Cecchi Paone, who used to be a TV science host, until a few years ago he came out as gay and turned into this formidable asshole.
The other day he called during a TV program to announce that there are at least 4 closeted players in the italian football team, gay, bi and metrosexuals. First of all, that's not for you to tell, you cretin. Second, people didn't know what metrosexual means, and he explained that they are men whose body care is "typically feminine", which hopefully will turn them gay in time, which of course is an incredibly wrong, irresponsible and offensive thing to say, but people will believe him without question because he's one of the very few out gays they know, like that makes him an expert. He's no expert, he's a fucking biphobic idiot who thinks that only because it took him 10 years to come out, that automatically makes every other person who identifies as bi or metrosexual a closeted gay. Fuck.

And the best is yet to come. The juicy news was immediately retailed to none other than our national hero Antonio Cassano, one of the popular guys in the team.
Now, football players (talking about the italian ones!) are the most useless kind of human scum IMO. They get more money in a month than the rest of us will get in a lifetime for chasing a stupid ball. Half of them is under investigation for gambling, which is illegal here. Plus, they are all braindead morons who can't even speak their own language. I have no patience with them.
So, one of the journalists asks our man "Antò, did you know that there are gays on the team?"
It took me a couple of minutes to make out his response because seriously, the guy can't use proper grammar to save his life. It was something like,
"Jesus, ew. That's them fags problem. I don't want nothing to do with this. I just hope there's no fags here." And all the journalists laughed and cheered. This is the guy that all the little kids in the nation worship like a god. And I'm pretty sure that 90% of the italian male population share his views on homosexuality.

homosexuality in soccer is and has always been a BIG tabu. It's really sad to see, especially because of what you already said: there are lot's of kids who admire these players and agree with everything they say.

After my california visit I decided that I probably won't do a Roadtrip there. Maybe along the east-coast, but the american really weren't very efficent on the west coast
For HOURS you drive through absolutely NOTHING until there is another city.

At moments like that you realize just how big the US really are.

California is not my thing. I'd rather drive through Alaska.

I suppose it depends what you're in to. I love driving so I think I'd quite enjoy driving through nothing-ness for a few hours at a time. As long as I get to Coachella over that side, I'll be happy. As I said, though, there are loooooads of places in the US I'd like to visit.

I mean, yes the weather is often poor, but that's what holidays are for... flying somewhere nicer when the rain gets too much.

On the whole the UK's not so bad at all. More accepting than lots of places for sure
