| Ooooh, sounds cool, Isa. I've always wanted to visit China. My sister went there on a school trip for three weeks when she was fifteen. She loved it. Me = Jealous. | |

Yeah it sounds pretty great. I'll still need the ok from my boss... But our plan is Beijing, Xi'an, Guilin and Shanghai. - Span_ski wrote:

I won't forget that. Fragrant meat means dog meat...

Always something different. Yesterday I had a tuna sandwich over there.

| Ew to the fragrant meat. I like tuna, but not in a sandwich. | |

| Well, now I had chicken-bacon ranch. I guess that concludes my six-day Subway marathon. | |

| Chicken-bacon ranch sounds good.
Dog meat though... Not so much... What does it taste like? Beef kinda?

| Forget dog meat. Cat meat is way superior. | |

| I think they were talking about eating actual dogs, and not dog food, cinco. They eat cats too over there though, don't they?
I started watching a movie/documentary called "Earthlings" once, and it started with showing cats and dogs stuck into this van together to be taken to slaughter or something I think. It was horrible, and I had to turn it off.
Oh, and while being on the subject. Many years ago there was an article about a lady being ill from something, I don't remember what, but at least she had very little money, and certainly no money for medicine. And she ate cat food, because it was all she could afford. And her illness actually went away.
Store bought catfood is actually not that good for the cat though. Cats are carnivores, and the store bought ones only contain about 4% meat (some exclusive ones maybe one or two percents more), and the rest is stuff that they really shouldn't have. I was disgusted when I learned this. Never crossed my mind to actually check how much meat was in there. So now I spoil my cat with fish.

Oops, I interpreted it totally different. Dog meat as meat eaten by dogs.

| So I went to this dinner tonight and the entree was cold cucumber cream soup. I don't know how I feel about cold soup (it seems like hot ice cream, it just doesn't make sense), but it was not bad. Mango mousse for dessert was amazing... All sorts of wine and then Veuve Cliquot at the end... not bad, not bad. | |

| I'm a fan of cold soup. Probably not a cucumber one though. What was in it, mint? Was it yogurt-y? Mango mousse sounds immense... I love the story behind Veuve Clicquot. It's pretty nice as far as champagne goes too. | |

| I had broccoli cream soup. I can't remember if I ever had cucumber cream soup though.
... or cold soup. I thought it was typically Italian, like gazpacho.
