Question, if you use a 24 hour time reference do you have watches and clocks with 24 numbers on it?

Uh...

My digital watches are all set to have 24h format. A couple of my analogue watches don't have numbers on at all. I have one analogue watch that has the 1-12 on the outside and 13-24 inside and the rest of my analogue watches are just normal. *shrug*

I write the time in 24h format but say it in 12h most of the time. Lol.

Your work week, sounds insane mate! When do the crazy shifts stop anyway?

There will be crazy shifts available until a couple of months after the crazy weather stops I would imagine.

My actual shift is 08:45 - 17:30 this week and the rest is overtime.

And even with all this ovetime I still don't do as many hours as a lot of my working weeks when I worked in the hotel. And none of the hotel weeks included overtime.

I used a 24 hour clock for work as I would often be shutting stuff down in the middle of the night so I'd write 03:00 am to avoid any possible confusion lol.

I have 2 retro casios, one metal one plastic which I wear on an alternative basis.. I had a look and one is set to 24hr, the other 12... I guess it depends on my mood or where I am?? Shrug lol

I can explain my question better I think. I've seen a military watch with all 24 numbers on it. It was a lot to see. I know clocks use 12 hours typically but do the numbers show up? I mean, if you look at the clock and see 14:00 but really a 2 is there then that seems weird. I know that my watch is Swiss and it just doesn't have numbers on it. That works in my logic world the wall wall clock at work would seem odd if I was thinking all224 hours.

Yeah, that's confusing as hell.

I'm used to wall clocks in schools and offices that are like this:

Both of those pictures are exactly what I was trying to figure out. My mind is all over the place right now. I think it's because I decided to get coffee.

We use the 24h system here but I've never seen a clock like that in my life!

we use normal ones, and then if you have to say "it's 7 pm", you just say it's 7, or 7 in the morning/evening, or it's nineteen, it's the same really...

Me neither. And my time keeping is usually pretty bad when I can tell what time it is on the clock.

Someone just made fun of me because I "always wear nice socks". Since when has something like that been amusing, please?

I think it's amusing because it's so random. Shrug Made me laugh reading it anyways!

Reading all your randomness is really therapeutic somehow Laughing

No news from the family friend (which is always good news)
Apparently his organs are starting to fail and therefore he's poisoning from the inside...
The doctors were like "We don't know how much longer he'll have, it doesn't look good" but he himself said he feels fine (under the circumstances) - so who knows. He's a really tough guy and would definitely deserve a miracle and the chance to start a family and be happy.

Visited my grandma again today and at least she is doing A LOT better.
I'll just try and stay optimistic and not think about it too much - not a lot I can do anyways.

Oh and I find the 24h system a lot less confusing than the am/pm thing, but I'm sure it's just a matter of what you're used to.

LOL The forum is not resizing pics. Those clocks are huge and scary!

But I don't know what to do now, because the settings seem ok, it's the forum that is not working it properly. Let's just be a bit careful with pics for the moment, ok?

Yeah, I thought about that too. I deleted them when I quoted something with a picture in.

For the last 6 hours my alarm has been going off though, and I've spent those hours pressing snooze every 10 minutes, so I'm still quite tired to be honest Laughing

I'm with you on that one, Lilly. I am the biggest snooze culprit ever. It's my favourite function on my phone. Lol.

I love not having to set an alarm any more! I think I'll struggle when I have to again!

I do tend to wake up reasonably early anyway though... doh.

There was really no reason for me to be having an alarm on though, it was just a failed attempt at getting back into a normal routine. If I hadn't had it on, I'd probably have gotten up earlier, but only sleeping 10 minutes on and off made me not want to get out of bed at all.
